 credentialing options such as certification and/or accreditation

SVN will provide, expand and explore innovative training, education, and credentialing opportunities

SVN will plan to build new leaders among members for task forces, committees, trainings, elected and appointed board members

Strategies 

  • Develop marketing efforts to promote awareness of trainings, conferences, and tools available for professional advancement 

  • Creating a mentoring program for new and emerging agencies, programs, and individual providers

  • Develop and expand credentialing programs to build expertise and educate stakeholders

Activities (Past, Present, and Future)

Met with SVN Members to discuss Credentialing/Future options for SVN via the Blueprint Meetings held in Seattle (2021), Cambridge, MA (2021), New Orleans (2022), and Niagara Falls, ON (2022)

Hosted first Live Hybrid Annual Conference, engaging over 350 attendees (Orlando 2022)

Hosted first Hybrid 24 Hour Certificate Training (San Diego 2023)

Developed new “bench Card” to increase awareness of the security risks of custody exchanges at Police Stations

Hosting the SVN International Conference: Safe with Compassion in Niagara Falls, Ontario, October 2023

Plans are underway for the first ever SVN “Child Welfare Summit” for summer/2024

Adding Supportive Supervised Visitation Certificate Training December 2024
